Blue Water Build - 2022
Prepared for: William Zavadil – Homeowner and Designer
Project Description: This is part of Block Biomes MVP series. The vision here was to document the construction process of my family's custom home build. This story will be saved on three mediums including a plaque (mounted to the limestone retaining wall out back), Arweave, and a public google drive. Special thanks to my family for building a beautiful home and to Dale Siebler with Siebler Building Company Inc.
Build Story:
The Zavadils decided that it was about time to test out a new location, especially after the fact that the street behind Spring Circle was going to be expanded from two to four lanes which was going to slice into our backyard some as result traffic volumes and noise levels were expected to increase. We thought the time was right and therefore decided to purchase lot 90 from Lanoha’s Blue Water Development near Valley Nebraska https://lanoha.com/portfolio-item/bluewater/ around mid-2020. At the time appx half the lots were remaining and almost all the super attractive lots were claimed selling for the 200-300k range non water facing lots were going for 100k. Construction commenced during the Spring of 2021 after choosing on Siebler homes construction for the GC. Building materials were their historical highs during the duration of construction but prior to framing – the prices of timber cooled off some. We set up a doc prior to the completion of the home for the purpose of being able to enjoy access to the water. Block Biome may be missing a few details in between but the house was completed appx 6 months behind schedule and the certificate of occupancy was finally granted in April of 2022. Looking forward to the many stories made here and the good work that will be inspired from this environment,
